Blazing Heart(Artist: Davina Robinson)Davina Robinson is known as the Rock n' Roll Soul Chick and for good reason. Her powerhouse , soulful vocals capture you in the first song, Making Love To Your Girlfriend, a song which I was already a fan of and played on the Rockin' Moms Podcast. This LP includes just four songs that flow well from track to track. All songs are written by Davina herself and I would look forward to hearing more from this artist. One of my other faves is the song,... Read More |

Life Goes On(Artist: Linq)I mean this when I say you have found a unique sound and artist when you listen to Linq. Her sound does have a hippie generation, sixties vibe to it but her songwriting and voice have her original stamp. Her songs are thought provoking and dive into some serious matters but our also pleasant and inspirational. My favorite song is Change the Picture and I literally got chills listening to it! Rockin' Moms has enjoyed listening to her previous... Read More |

Life Lessons Learned(Artist: Dazz)If you like Pat Benatar, Lita Ford or Heart, you will feel right at home with Dazz. Dazz is ROCKIN' with her latest album, Life Lessons Learned! Darcy Andersohn, AKA, Dazz is a prolific songwriter with yet another hard-driving release to add to her collection. Don't sweat the small stuff is one of the "lessons learned" that resonates through her songs and leads me to one of my favorite tracks, "Small Stuff," which illustrates this point to a tee. ... Intermezzo(Artist: Liata)Words cannot convey the beauty and grace that Rossanna D Agnillo’s vocals bring to every track on this album. I found this new CD, Intermezzo by the talented trio, Liata to be both very pleasant and yet also provoking to listen to. The 16 tracks from the Romantic Era are sung in their original languages but are uniquely stamped by Liata’s own arrangements and finesse. One is swept away with each piece as it takes us into the world of that time. The... Read More |

Fire and Snow(Artist: Mandyleigh Storm)Calming, intricate and peaceful melodies is what immediately comes to mind when I first played this disc by Mandyleigh Storm. The ten tracks from the album title, "Fire & Snow," have a real late sixties/ early seventies feel. Mandyleigh writes from the heart and I enjoyed reading through the lyrics and looking at the album jacket pics. Of course we at Rockin' Moms loved looking at the cute photos of her children Zyah and Damaris. "Go with it"... Read More |

The Real Thing(Artist: Peach)The Real Thing by Blues Rock recording artist, Peach, is not to be missed! Her smooth vocals glide freely over the thirteen rockin-tracks and are pleasant and blend perfectly with the music. From the first beat in her tune, Someone Else is Steppin' In, the mood is set and one can feel the Soul of the Blues Rock Artist. The L.A. based singer-songwriter-guitarist creates a balanced mix of up and down tempo tunes which leaves the listener satisfied. ... Read More |

Hearts of Time(Artist: Eileen Carey)The Lyrics tell a story and are true poetry! As, I listened to this CD, the titles of the songs led me to open the insert and read through her writings. Titles like Hearts of Time, Lazy and Blue Collar Man, beg you to listen closer. Not only are the lyrics a great read but also are arranged well with the music. The songs are catchy and stay with you. You also get a sense of Eileen Carey herself from her expressive voice and thoughtful expressions in the album artwork.... Read More |

Letters Never Sent(Artist: Dazz)The album, Letters Never Sent from the first track to the last, takes the listener on a journey. The lyrics are thought provoking and move effortlessly over the musical arrangement. Vocalist and Songwriter, Darcy Andersohn reminds us of Stevie Nicks (vocal wise) and she brings passion and determination to all ten tracks on the album. Favorite tracks: Some Time and All 4 U . A Journey to the Son(Artist: Lauren Braddock Havey)Given her Nashville roots and songwriting lineage (she’s the daughter of acclaimed country songwriter Bobby Braddock), it was a given that Lauren Braddock Havey would find plenty of material as she and her husband underwent in vitro fertilization treatments to conceive a son. Not only did the process allow the couple to birth a child, the experience inspired Lauren to author a book-length memoir and a full-length CD that share the title A Journey to the Son. Billed as...
