Rockin' Moms 2010 Songwriting Contest! Congratulations to Zarni, who's song, "Making My Way," >View the complete list of 2010 Winners! Rockin' Moms is a company and online community website that promotes, provides resources and acknowledges the work of mothers. They will host a songwriting contest accepting submissions that reflect a parenthood theme. Songs about being a mom, dad, your mom, family, what parenthood means to you, the job of parenting, love for a child, etc. The first place winner will receive $1,000 in cash, and from their sponsors, a Daisy Rock Guitar, Song Books from Alfred Publishing, D'Addario guitar strings, Planet Waves custom guitar straps, Indie Venue Bible, Kilroy-Media hosting, Nette Radio promo and Rockin' Moms. 2nd and 3rd place winners will receive merchandise prizes and 10 honorable mentions. ALL submitting artists will receive a one month's Platinum membership with their store feature on RockinMoms.com. The winners and their songs will also be showcased on the Rockin' Moms website, newsletter and songs and lyrics featured on the Rockin' Moms Podcast Radio show and possible inclusion on a Rockin' Moms CD compilation. This contest is open to both professional and amateur songwriters. Entrants may enter up to five songs but each entry must have a lyric sheet except for classical submissions they must provide a title. The only requirement is that the song reflects a theme of parenthood to the songwriter and the song must be original. No, you don't have to be a member of Rockin' Moms, a mom, a women, dad to submit, or even use the word "parent" in the song, just express the theme in your song. Winners will be chosen by a panel of Music Industry professionals and Rockin' Moms staff who will judge entries on originality, melody, composition and lyrics and relevance to the parenthood theme using a point-based scoring system. |
