Rockin' Moms 2010 Songwriting Contest!

Parenthood theme!


We will be taking submissions April 1st through June 30th 2010.

Winners will be chosen by a panel of Music Industry professionals and Rockin' Moms staff who will judge entries on originality, melody and composition, lyrics and theme relevance.
Songs are then ranked using a points- based scoring system.

Jennifer is originally from Houston, TX. After leaving Texas in 2003 to attend Music Business School in Los Angeles, Jennifer has held several positions in the industry—such as, Booking Assistant & Promotions Manager of Safari Sam’s , Studio Session Manager for Extasy Recording Studios, Marketing Manager for ArtistForce, amongst managing several local bands, and just being an overall music fan. Jennifer is currently the Artist Relations and Marketing Representative for Daisy Rock Girl Guitars and Alfred Music Publishing.

Brian Ball, Director of Music and Talent for WomensRadio (http://www.womensradio.com/), and an Independent Electronic Musician based out of Oakland, CA.

Brian is also the Host of "WomensRadio Music Review" on WomensRadio.

Although working with music is Brian's undeniable love, he has made plenty of room in his schedule to act as Technical Support Leader of streaming media mogul, AudioAcrobat® (http://sizzlinsoundz.audioacrobat.com).

When not focusing on women in music or streaming audio/video on the web, you can find Brian working on his own analog/digital musical productions, remixes and sound painting in his home office/studio located in Northern California’s sunny Grand Lake/Piedmont enclave.

Tiffany Petrossi, Singer-Songwriter and Founder of Rockin' Moms.

Tiffany is a mother to four-Rockin' Kids, a musician, songwriter and teacher. She has independently produced three albums, is a voting grammy member and founder, of Rockin' Moms. She is host of the Rockin' Moms Radio show, enjoys interviewing and promoting women in music , peforming and songwriting. Tiffany performed at city hall and had a day declared in her name by San Francisco's Mayo Gavin Newsome for her contributions to the arts.

Deborah Crooks, A published essayist and journalist and songwiter.

Deborah's' lyric-driven and soul-wise music has drawn comparison to Lucinda Williams and Chrissie Hynde. She's had her tunes included on compilation Cds and appeared at many festivals and events including Sunset Junction, California Music Fest, the Harmony Festival and Macworld. In late 2008, she released a full-length Cd "Adding Water to the Ashes " that received radio and rave reviews. In 2009, she toured the Northwest and released an EP of tunes from a new project "Crooks/Walsh Blues." The recent recipient of a Bay Bridged Recording Grant to record at Tiny Telephone, she returned to the studio in January and just released a new EP "It's All Up to You" in the same month she launched The Great Idea Tour of the Southwest with Jean Mazzei.

Paul Kimball, Paul Kimball is the principal songwriter, singer, and rhythm guitarist
for the acclaimed South Bay indie-country-rock band Careless Hearts.
