Rockin' Moms 2010 Songwriting Contest!

Parenthood theme!

Now taking submissions April 1st through June 30th 2010.

1. The Rockin' Moms Songwriting contest is open to both amateur and professional songwriters. You do not have to be a member of Rockin' Moms or a Mother to submit. Entrants who are under 18 must have a signature of a parent or guardian on the entry form to submit.

2. Each entry must include: 1)1 song on CD, no more than 5 minutes in length. 2) a lyric sheet. 3)Check or money order made to 'Rockin' Moms' or have paid online through paypal. $20.00 first song entry (includes one month's free Rockin' Moms Platinum Membership and My Store feature!) and $5.00 for each additional song.

3. All entries must be postmarked before June 30th 2010 or submitted online by the due date.

4. All songs MUST be original.

5. Entrants may enter as many songs as they wish, but each entry must include a lyric sheet and song title clearly labeled on CD. The only requirement is that the song reflects a theme of parenthood to the songwriter.

6. Submission fee is non refundable and Rockin' Moms will not be able to return any CD's and/or lyrics submitted.

7. Winners will be chosen by a panel of Music Industry professionals and Rockin' Moms staff who will judge entries on originality, melody and composition, lyrics and theme relevance. Songs are then ranked using a points- based scoring system. See featured judges bios>

8. Winners will be notified by August 15th 2010.

FAQ

1. Is this contest just for women? Can men submit?
Yes.

2. I am not a Rockin' Mom, can I submit a song I wrote ?
Yes, this contest is open to both professional and amateur songwriters and music enthusiasts. You do not have to be a member of Rockin' Moms. (You will however receive one's month free membership to Rokcin' Moms with your entry; that you can give as a gift if applicable)

3. What do you mean by Parenthood theme?
We realize that this is going to have different meaning to people. The song does not have to have the word, "mother" or "mom", "dad," to qualify. The parenthood theme is expressed in your song. If it is about being a mother or parent, a song for your mom, motherhood or fatherhood in general, kids, the love of a mother, parent, the subject of parenthood, etc. then yes, submit it.

4. My song is recorded but not the best quality, will this count against me?
No, recording quality is not being judged.
